Buccaneers Ready for a New Beginning

Pittsburgh,PA-The Pittsburgh Buccaneers have decided to move on to face bigger and better competition in the GDFL. This was a business decision on what would be best for the Buccaneers in the future. There are a few reasons why we have joined the Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL), the quality of the league from top to bottom is unquestionable, there are literally tons of resources that our organization has the ability to tap into. From helping our players transition to college or the pros,to accessing community programs and applications that span across the nation and giving our organization a marketing platform nationwide which increase brand awareness partnerships with multiple platforms and leagues across the country. The GDFL is the who's, who of minor league professional football. 

Buc History

The Pittsburgh Buccaneers was established in 2016 where they joined the PFL (Pennsylvania Football League). The Buccaneers in their first year of existence was a well put together football organization that has made several positive impacts for several of the young men who have had the opportunity to be members of the team. 

In 2017 they became division champions,they fell short in the conference championship game but  found their way back in 2018 not only did they win their second division title but won their first ever league (PFL) championship in just their second season. Coach & Owner Callaway decides to take a couple years off due to taking care of personal affairs.

"As the owner of the Buccaneers my job is to do what's best for my team and make the best decisions for our players and fans so everyone is comfortable moving forward. I would like to thank The GDFL Chief Executive Officer Charles Thompson for giving us the opportunity to be part of such a prestigious league and allowing the Buccaneers to be members of this national footprint than spans from coast to coast. We plan on being the best that we can be on and off the field to represent the GDFL. Thanks again and we look forward to any and all competition we face in 2020. Good luck to all other GDFLteams

The Buccaneers proved itself to be one of the strongest organizations previously in the Pennsylvania Football League . With the GDFL movement towards the future which is fueled by action-packed games, and will be even more so as technological innovations advance over time. The GDFL is working to take advantage of such advances as a way to make our
