GDFL Post Game:Bulldawgs win Dogfight in a defensive battle against Lightning
Baltimore,Maryland-The Washington Bulldawgs Football Team was supposed to play at home but had to travel on the road to Baltimore,MD to play “host” to the Baltimore Lightning. “Last time we were in Baltimore we won 10-8 so we were looking to sweep the Lightning,”stated,Head Coach Reginald White.
The Lightning had other plans and scoring on their first drive put them in the drivers seat, unfortunately the 2 point conversion was unsuccessful 6-0 Lightning.
The Bulldawgs struggled to get something going on offense and defensively Bulldawgs kept giving the Lightning life. Washington went into halftime down 6-0!
The Bulldawgs offense finally came to life and opened up 2nd half scoring on the first drive of the 2nd half not only that but getting the all important 2 pt conversion making the score 8-6!
The score would remain 8-6 until the final seconds ticked off the clock!
The Bulldawgs sweep the Baltimore Lightning and improve our record to 2-3-1. Bulldawgs play this weekend against the Capital City Seahawks and are looking to continue our 2 game winning streak!
Head Coach and Owner Reginald D White says “we’re happy to have won this game but understand the mission at hand! It won’t be easy but any given Saturday a team can lose no matter who they are!
My coaches and I will do all we can to have our team prepared!”
