Memphis Lineman Sign Pro Indoor Contract

MEMPHIS,TENN- Defensive Tackle Steve Fluker (6’6, 320) signs with the Amarillo Venom for his first year of arena/indoor football. Before playing in the Champions Indoor Football League (CIFL), Fluker has been a dedicated 4x GDFL All-Pro with the Memphis Blast since 2013.

"Fluker will bring the Venom defense some explosion off the ball, speed, and a great motor," said Head Coach Antwone Moore of the Blast. He is a very physical player. I expect him to go into camp and show his pass rushing skills. He will come in focused and hungry with a lot to prove." 

Fluker played college football at Lane College from 2004-2007. During his career in the SIAC, Fluker set a career total of 30 tackles (10.5 TFL), four sacks, 8 quarterback hits, three forced fumble and two pass deflections.  

Fluker is a native of Memphis,Tennessee and played high school football at Carver High School. While in high school, Fluker was a All-Shelby Metro, named to the Shelby Metro preseason teams and was selected to the first team Class AAA All-State team by the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association  during his senior season. After his senior season, Fluker was listed as the No.30 player in Tennessee by Rivals.com. Fluker participated in the All-Star Classic as a senior and finished his high school playing career with over 100 tackles and 15.5 sacks.
